BLARKAD uses public regulatory filings and market reference data as source inputs. For U.S. institutional holdings, the primary source is SEC EDGAR, including Form 13F filings. To improve speed, stability, and historical consistency, BLARKAD may cache, normalize, and reprocess source data.
Important Limitations
Form 13F data is delayed by design and reflects reportable positions as of the end of a calendar quarter, not real-time holdings or trade execution dates. Public filings may be incomplete, amended after publication, affected by confidential treatment, or limited in scope. 13F data does not represent a manager's full portfolio and may exclude certain securities, cash, short exposure, derivatives, and other positions.
Derived Data & Calculations
Some data shown on BLARKAD is derived internally and not taken directly from a source filing. This may include security mappings, issuer/entity matching, ticker or identifier normalization, historical comparisons, position-change calculations, classifications, rankings, estimates, and other proprietary metrics. These derived fields may contain errors, omissions, stale values, mismatches, or interpretation issues.
